Eight easy steps to purchasing a Homestar Home

  1. Plan with a Homestar design consultant
    At this meeting, you’ll decide on floor plan and features, discuss costs and timeframe, apply for
    financing preapproval, sign a service agreement and schedule a time for our construction manager
    to visit your site.


  2. Shop The Home Depot
    Select floor coverings, countertops, cabinets, fixtures, appliances and other items on a list you’ll
    create with your designer.


  3. Meet with a Homestar project manager
    This is an on-site evaluation of your property to determine conditions, location of your home
    and preparation.


  4. Preclosing
    You’ll review your contract, including costs and timeline, discuss financing options with a
    Homestar Builders business manager and sign your contract. We’ll collect earnest money
    and schedule your closing.


  5. Construction closing
    This meeting takes place with the title company. Here, you’ll sign your final contract and make
    everything official.


  6. Schedule construction
    Now we immediately schedule and begin construction of your home, prepare your site and
    engineer your foundation. All the while, you havean open line of communication with your
    project manager.


  7. Completion
    When your home is complete, we’ll perform a certification walk-through and oversee the make-ready
    final cleaning and preparation for you.


  8. Final walk through
    You’ll walk through your home with your project manager. Then we’ll review the
    Homestar Builders Quality Assurance Program with you and hand you your keys.
